Health & Safety Training
Health & Safety legislation requires employers to provide information, instruction and training to their employees.
Whatever your health & safety training needs we can either provide the training or help you find a competent training provider.
CWL provides a broad range of training services.
These include:
- Emergency First Aid at Work (1 day) course;
- CITB Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (5 day) course;
- CITB Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (2 day) course;
- CITB Site Manager Refresher (2 day) course;
- CITB Site Supervisor Refresher (1 day) course;
- CITB Health & Safety Awareness (1 day) course;
- Safety Passport Association (SPA) Construction Core Health & Safety (1 day) course;
- A range of short courses (half day) on skills such as Manual Handling, Scaffold Inspection, Asbestos Awareness and Abrasive Wheels;
- Boardroom briefings on topics such as Director Responsibilities / Leadership in H&S and CDM responsibilities (2 - 4 hours);
- In-house H&S Awareness Workshops (1½ - 2 hours) on subjects such Work at Height, Fire and COSHH;
- On-site toolbox talks (20-30mins) on subjects such as slips & trips, housekeeping, etc;
The CDM Regulations place great emphasis on competence (skills, experience, knowledge & training) at all levels. The CITB Site Manager (5 day) course is the defacto standard for anyone managing a construction site.
